Welcome To Olivet Commandery
of Knights Templar.
On June 12, 2003 at our Annual Meeting, Sir Michael Reardon was elected to become our next Commander. Sir Michael and the other Officers will be installed on Thursday, September 11, 2003 in our Hall in Lynn. The Officers of Bethlehem-Lewis Commandery will also be installed at that time.
Welcome to our web site. I am Sir Knight Oscar Gayton, (left of photo), the Commander of Olivet Commandery of Knights Templar. I took office on September 12, 2002 at an Installation ceremony held in our building (called an asylum, meaning a place of safety) in Lynn at 68 Market Street. Pictured with me (right of photo) is Sir Knight Wayne Henry Livermore, who was the Commander before me. This photo was taken at our Grand Conclave, which is a meeting held once a year to elect new State level Officers. I am the Commander, which is similar to "President" of the local group in Lynn. There are other Commanders in many cities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island as well as the rest of the United States.
